Leave a group chat on Workplace Chat

To leave a group chat using Workplace in a desktop browser:
  1. Click More options More options at the top of the chat you're leaving.
  2. Click LeaveLeave.
  3. Click Leave conversation.
To leave a group chat using the Workplace Chat desktop app:
  1. Click Chat optionsChat options at the top right of the chat you're leaving.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu on the right, then click Leave chat.
  3. Click Leave chat to confirm.
The other people in the group chat will be notified that you left. You will no longer receive messages from the chat.
You can only leave group chats. You can’t leave a one-on-one chat but you can report any chat on Workplace.

Remove someone from a group chat on Workplace Chat

If you’re an admin of a group chat on Workplace Chat, you can remove someone from the conversation.
To remove someone from a group chat using Workplace in a desktop browser:
  1. In the group chat, hover over the name of the person you want to remove in the menu on the right.
  2. Click the three dots to the right.
  3. Click Remove from group.
  4. Click Remove to confirm.
To remove someone from a group chat using the Workplace Chat desktop app:
  1. Click Chat optionsChat options at the top right of your chat.
  2. Click the three dots to the right of the name of the person you want to remove.
  3. Click Remove member.
  4. Click Remove from chat.
If you remove someone from a group chat, you can always add them back later.
